  RAW MATERIAL is a British band that released two albums in the early 70's that are now highly collectible. The group consist of your standard prog quartet plus frontman Mike Fletcher on wind instruments. They developed a slightly jazz-tinged progressive rock so typical of that era and their debut album had some great moments (the longer tracks on side1) but was also partially flawed but ends in a bizarre poem recitation to string arrangements. Most prog-heads will prefer the much more even Time Is.. Rare album that appeared on the RCA prog label called Neon records. This album (with the line-up augmented by a second guitarist Harewood) was much more 70's-sounding and left loads of space for instrument interplay and hold many fine moments that every prog head looking for rare late proto-prog should investigate.

  This is an original and very rare 1971 UK album release from Raw Material and comes in it’s original black inner bag and housed in its original Gate-fold Picture Sleeve.

  Both record labels are in beautiful Near Mint condition, both record labels are undamaged and are almost as new with very minimal sigs of play, all printed text is super clear and unfaded.

  The machine stamped Matrix, Side 1 is, AGBS 0569. the - 1 E seems to have been left off.

  And Side 2, AGBS 0570-1 E.

  Both sides of the LP are in beautiful Near Mint condition, the vinyl LP is a superb example without scratches or scuffs and show only a couple of surface hairlines on each side.

  The LP play’s through without faults, a superb, clear and uninterrupted sound quality.

  The LP comes in it’s original black die-cut Made in Great Britain poly lined inner bag,  and is housed in it’s original non laminated, Howards Printers (Slough) Ltd, Gate-fold Picture Sleeve.

  This sleeve has survived in superb condition with no major damage with the front panel in Excellent Plus condition, with just light rub marks to the top and bottom but nothing major, (see scans below).

  The gate-fold centre of the sleeve is in beautiful Near Mint condition, no damage and all print is clear and unfaded.

  Both edges and the spine edge are free of any splits and with just light shelf  storage marks to the bottom edge.

  The reverse panel of the sleeve is inExcellent condition, similar to the front panel with light rub marks to the top and bottom.

  This is a beautiful example of this very rare LP from, Raw Material.
