After many years of fooling around and endless local gigs, these guys finally decided to release The Return of the Spectral Rider which features re-recorded songs from their first official LP Spectral Rider which was released on a thin label and was marred with poor production. The songs on the original Spectral Rider were great and they deserved a better production and finally after 12 years, the band decided to take matters into their hands and have self-produced an album that features the entire Spectral Rider album.
On to music.. travel back in time... year 1982, imagine the good parts of Number of the Beast LP and Screaming for Vengeance LP with a guitar tone reminiscent of a cleaned-up Rheingold and with a Blaze Bayley on vocals, you will get a fair indication of what to expect from this album. Also, there are occasional thrash moments too. One could clearly hear that they did not play the songs on this LP note by note from the original LP, a lot of improvisation and improvements are being made in riffs and solos.
