Description

Hello- I'm Bill, and over the next few weeks I'll be selling off my treasured record collection, a course of action forced on me by an imminent move and enforced retirement. I've collected music all my adult life, and will be sad to see it all go . My tastes have varied over the years, as you'll see, but folk and rock have been the backbone of my collection.Over the next few weeks there will be some rarities appearing, believe me! All records will be in at least EX condition, and a lot of NM's too. I'm loathe to use NM, once it's played, it's played, but I try to stick to the RC guidelines, even if my grading is too severe! All records are inspected under a good light, and none are cleaned, only brushed. I know everyone has their own favourite cleaning methods, so why deprive you of the pleasure?(Jan 06)

Now back after a longer than expected hospitalisation and recovery, I’m fit and back on course. Many apologies to those of you who have been waiting to see what comes next. Hopefully this weekend’s offerings will satisfy!......Bill. (Apr 15 06)

As we get into May, I’m mixing things up a bit. Some blues, lots of folk, of course, and some rock too!

This is getting like a diary! A word here about my postal charges. Some international buyers are saying that my charges are too high. I make no profit on the post.In fact since I started selling my collection, I have subsidised the international side by £38 !! I send  by international signed-for, and a single record to France costs me £8.66. Further afield costs a damn sight more!!

The charges are clearly listed , so why query it after you’ve bought the item?

99% of my international buyers have been superb, but the odd whinge makes this all seem like a bit of a chore!

I’ll soon be starting on my extensive ‘DONOVAN’ collection- lots of 1st presses etc, and some superb copies!!

This weekend, I’m listing some of my rarest albums, some with very low numbers pressed- as low as 100!!

This one is -:

The most sought-after FAIRPORT CONVENTION ALBUM EVER!!!

The fabulous   TOUR SAMPLER . You all know that there were only 500 copies made, for distribution to Radio Stations only, and as prizes in NME, to promote the upcoming tour of  1975.

This one is in very collectable condition. The cover, as with every one of these, is a little bit grubby. The plain white unlaminated cover was a dirt-magnet! This one has a  BBC Radio Leicester  stamp on it.

The vinyl is very very nice, with just a few sleeve scuffs, very faint wispy marks, completely NON- SOUNDING!!

The visual grade must be EX+,  and it plays superbly!

Very collectable!!      ONLY 500 PRESSED!!

One not to be missed!
