Description

Benny Goodman Victor 25461A side A "Goodnight My Love" vocal Ella Fitzgerald. B side "Take Another Guess" also with Ella Fitzgerald.  If you collect Goodman or Fitzgerald, you know how rare this record is.  Very collectable, mint condition, not a scratch or mark on it.  I have owned this record for over 50 years and have played it ONCE to verify it is Ella Fitzgerald on vocals, though she is not listed on the label.  Recorded 11/5/36.  A side has old sticker on it, B side has 2 small spots at top of label slightly scuffed, but the record itself has no scratches on it.  Ella filled in for vocalist Helen Ward who was ill.  Ella was under contract with Decca Records at the time.  Record was put on market November 25, 1936 and was recalled immediatly by Victor and then deleted from their catalog Janurary 20, 1937.  Rumor has it the record was only out on shelves to the public for 5 or 6 days. Final sale no return or exchange.
