RARE*AUSTRALIAN*JAZZ*FUSION*PRIVATE PRESS*STEPPS*LISTEN

So rare most it has only surfaced on the radar of the most avid. Criminally few copies of this amazing Jazz album were pressed in a very limited run by the group themselves, on a label so boutique it doesn't even have a name. This is astonishing as the music featured on the album is of the highest order and the wonderfully controlled vocals of the female singer Bernie Morgan take the music high above a level of some more famous Jazz groups. A fully rounded and one of a kind independent LP from 1976 it's difficult to know where to start, so as an introduction here's a taste of the sublime vocal talents of Morgan on the track If I Knew. Wait for the launch at around 2.04 a jazz dance masterclass. Here:

Next up a snippet of the mover Kryptonite. Here:

And one last taster of the pulsating groove in the track End Of Play. Here:

The rest of the album is of this high standard and as usual with such talent from the 70's it's left up to us to discover these hidden treasures. Don't miss out on this one, it won't be coming around again for a very long time.

The cover is hand made by the group a la Sun Ra and there is a slight smudge of the ink top left if you look at the photo, and so is graded at a conservative VG The Vinyl is clean and bears a few superficial marks which don't sound and is therefore VG+/EX

For track listing see super size photo above.

The Photo and the sound clip are included as part of the description.

Thank you.

Please see my entire auction for a lot of very rare Jazz, Funk, Soul, Cuban Funk, Breaks, Disco and more. This is a big sale. Don't miss out.

Record Collector Magazine Grading System. MINT The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Records advertised as Sealed or Un played should be Mint. EXCELLENT The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing. VERY GOOD The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable. GOOD The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discolouration, etc. FAIR The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump. The cover and contents will be torn, stained and/or defaced. POOR The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing. BAD The record is unplayable or might even be broken, and is only of use as a collection-filler.
