ROTARY 4 "JAZZ VIDEO"
RARE ORIGINAL 1974 ROTARY LABEL STEREO-MONO PRESSING, CATALOG#. R/1004, ITALY.
Originally pressed on very limited quantity (around 100 or 300 copies for each Rotary release), this is the most sought-after volume along with n.2 ("Tecnologia") from the label. Rotary was the Amedeo Tommasi's own label, that produced 7 Library LPs. All the music on Rotary has been composed and played by Tommasi himself in his studio, but records are signed by other artists such Sandro Brugnolini (Narassa) or Stefano Torossi under aliases "Complesso THE SWINGERS" or "Farlocco" like this case. This is due to italian legal restrictions of the time that didn't allow artists to sign all the records they composed.
This Library musically contains some deep and rare fine Jazz sessions with generally an Avantgarde Electric Jazz vein. Side A contains among the tracks "STADIO", a great Piano Fender swinging Electric Jazz with minor animated Blues; "EAST SIDE" aggressive Jazz Beat with drums breaks; "ALTIFORMI" nice deep Electric Jazz with obssessive and pressing rhythm, Leslie effect; also "QUADRANGOLO" with grotesque dramatic Moog. On the other side "DEPRESSIONE" is a superb dark cinematic Jazzy Avantgarde/Experimental theme.
