In this auction is: The Doors 1970 Morrison Hotel LP lot of 5 PROGRESSIVE PROOF COLOR UNCUT SHEETS
This is one of the rarest things i've had music/record related outside of some promo lp's or original RIAA awards.
There are 5 original progressive proof color separation uncut sheets in the grouping. Blue, Yellow, B&W, Reddish & the last one which is closer to the what the finished one would have looked like. A couple of them have tears on the bottom and the yellow one has the bad left side bottom area. These had been rolled probably since 1970 just sitting in a roll so the edges have some wear and also the paper has faded. They were all rolled together which I had to unroll them for the photos and used knives to hold the corners down and then rolled them back up together. I do not want to handle them much due to the rarity and used gloves to avoid any fingerprints on them from me. They are like 28" x 30 1/2" and as seen. Condition I would say ranges from G to EX. Since there are different versions of the final record and these were from a pre-production phase it may be possible something was changed before the actual cardboard LP jackets were made. I do not have the LP to check against these printers sheets. If by chance you see something of major important that would increase the value please let me know so I can add it to this listing so others will know. This is 100% original coming from a collection of stuff from someone that was in the music biz years ago. Very seldom do color separation progressive sheets ever show up. I have others in my collection which I may be listing in the future as well. ?'s please ask.
