Description
Astonishingly rare LP, Trevor Lucas' 'Overlander' on the UK Reality label RY 1002, this solo LP from a man whose musical and personal history is intertwined with that of Fairport Convention, Sandy Denny and Eclection very seldom appears on the market, especially in this fantastic condition.
A wonderful collection of mostly traditional Australian folk songs, some adapted by the great A.L.Lloyd, this is a chance to own a very rare LP by one of folk-rock's most revered musicians.
Tracks are: The Overlander, Waltzing Matilda, A Wee One, Lazy Harry's, It's On, South Australia, Shanties By The Way, The Shearer's Dream, The Flash Stockman, Bluey Brink, On The Banks Of The Condamine, Bold Jack Donohoe
The sleeve is in very fine condition indeed; there are a few extremely small spine creases and just a little ringwear along with a light corner crease mostly visible on the back bottom corner, opening side of about 3 inches in length. Very minor flaws on what is really a superb fully laminated sleeve. It must grade EX+.
The vinyl is equal to this EX+ grade. It's in fabulous condition, original shine and barely played. There are a couple of light marks on side two, bands four and five, but these in no way detract from the superb playing quality of this ultra-rare LP.
It will be a long time before another of these records turns up in this super condition, an asset to anybody's quality vinyl collection, so get your bids in now. There is a sensible starting price and NO RESERVE on this rare LP. Good luck!
All P&P will have sufficient insurance added to cover the value of this record and this will be at the buyer's cost. P&P will be determined at the end of the auction and, rest assured, will NOT be over-inflated but will be at cost price plus the cost of packaging and materials. Our standard rate of P&P to UK is £3.25 for regular LPs, but this will rise to cover the appropriate value.
