Includes 7 Inch Comparison Record of ALL Violins playing the same piece!
SUPER RARE! 15 famous historical violins played by Ruggiero Ricci with piano accompaniment by Leon Pommers. MINT CONDITION record and mint minus gatefold sleeve. Small ding on lower right front corner (Full disclosure!).
INCLUDES 7 inch 33 RPM Long play comparison record. An excerpt from Violin Concerto in G Minor (Bruch) played back to back on each violin so you can hear the subtle differences in the historical violins with NO accompaniment. All factors are the the same - EXCEPT the instrument! FANTASTIC! This 7 inch record is in MINT condition as well! Inner notes show what violin is used to play each piece, with a brief historical notation on the particular violin. Includes the Stradivari, Guarneri, the Amatis, Bergonzi, and da Salo and MORE.
Inner sleeve is the original Decca Gold Label plastic lined sleeve. STUNNING and VER RARE FIND for any Classical Record Collection!! This record album won a 'special merit' award from Billboard Magazine when released in November 1963.
