Description
HOT ROCK-A-BILLY BOPPER BY SONNY BURGESS ON SUN 612.
A few words about the SUN 600's serie, those records are original 70's pressings of unissued 50's recordings. In any case they are bootlegs or re-issues of any kind, as they were never released before. The whole serie (26 different numbers) were released in Nashville beetween 1976 & 1978, from the original SUN tapes by myself, my brother Herve & a friend of ours Henri Ferrero. They were pressed from 600 copies to 1400 copies, so they all are hard to find today.
"Daddy blues" b/w "One night with you" (800 copies were released in 1977).
"Daddy blues" is a fine 1957 bopper with great vocal & backing, a wild guitar break and a fine trumpet break by Jack Nance. "One night with you" is "One night", the Smiley Lewis number popularized by Elvis in 1957.
Record plays & looks M-, labels have no writings or stamps of any kind (see scan).
