Description: Up for your consideration is the next in a series of unique Lps, this one by Ola Belle Reed.

  Several unique things about this item:  Firstly, this disc retains the original shine with only a few very light marks grading by sight in normal room light.  I'm sure if you took this and put it under a 1000 watt bulb, you'd probably find something that makes it less than mint.  If you're that kind of collector, let me suggest this auction is not for you.

I don't claim this record is mint.  Based on past experience and visual examination, I'd expect the tracks to audibly average better than VG+(excellent) with some scattered very, very light surface noise.  If you want an audio grade of an entire record, no problem, just drop me a note well in advance of the end of auction.  You can then assign your own grade based on my comments on what I heard and the GRADING SCALE BELOW!.    

Keep in mind how it plays for me may differ how it plays for you based on differences in audio equipment.

Thirdly, at the time of this listing, no past/present sales on e-bay.  I cound not find any past Internet sales for a signed copy!!

I am using the Goldmine scale of G=Good(1), VG = Very Good(2), VG+ = Very Good Plus(excellent)(3), NM = Near Mint(4) when grading the disc(s). 

Here is a summary of the record(s):

Artist: Ola Belle Reed Title: Self-titled Record: Black vinyl with the original shine and a few very light marks grading by sight in normal room light. Labels: Gray with background picture and white print.   No stickers, no pen/pencil marks, a few spindle marks.   Trailing wax: Side 1: "0021A 19589RE-1 CSR-72772-A".  Side 2: "CSR-72772B F/W 0021B 19589 RE-1". Inner sleeve(s): A generic white sleeve in fine shape.  Cover: No stickers.   No seam splits, no pen/pencil marks other than signature front top left corner.  Corners slightly worn, a few creased tips.  A thin 1" discoloration front lower left corner.     Slight general/ring wear.   Rate the cover VG to VG+(excellent).  You can assign your own grade based on my comments. Comments: Based on past experience and visual examination, I'd expect the tracks to audibly average better than VG+(excellent) with some scattered very, very light surface noise.  If you want an audio grade (please request well in advance of the end of auction), you can then assign your own grade based on my comments and the scale shown below. Additional criteria I use when audibly grading records for people:

• NM(4) = absolutely nothing wrong at all (very rarely happens--I've even opened sealed records and they don't play Near Mint)
• 3.5-3.9 = very, very light surface noise
• 3.1-3.4 = very light surface noise, very light pops
• VG+(3) = up to light pops and light surface noise (below this, one's enjoyment is affected, very subjective)
• VG(2) = up to medium pops and moderate surface noise
• G(1) = up to heavy pops and heavy surface noise

I normally ship a single record in a standard 12.5 x 12.5 x 1 record mailer.  Weight with box is 1 pound 1 ounces. Shipping is $3.12 Media Rate (1-2 pounds) + $1.20 box/tape/pack = $4.32.
Alternatively, I can ship in a  14 x 14 x 6" box. Weight with box is about 1 pound 9 oz. Shipping is $3.12 Media Rate (1-2 pounds) + $1.70 box/tape/packing = $4.82.

This auction is currently set to ship in the smaller box.  If you want the larger box, let me know and I'll send an appropriate invoice.

Buyer pays shipping/handling. Standard method within U.S. is Media Rate, $4.00 This includes online tracking. Outside U.S., e-mail location to determine S/H costs prior to auction end.
