RARE Record Original 1972 Pressing Whatnauts On The Rocks. Cover and Media VG rating


Original 1972 Stang Records Release of The Whatnauts' album Whatnauts The Rocks. Soul group out of Baltimore on New Jersey label. A rare record that would be a nice find for a collector, DJ, or any fan of classic soul or hip hop. The track " Why Can't People Be Colors Too?" has been sampled in close to 100 songs, most famously by Tribe Called Quest in their song "Oh My God".


Record has visible wear but plays nicely with no skipping. Pics show cover has names written on front and back and a liquid stain in the corner. Record shows signs of wear and play. Lights scratches throughout that do not affect play. One more noticeable scratch on side two. There is a slight ticking that can be heard during this time only if you are really listening for it.
