RARE Randy Ray Live (Randy Travis) LP Vinyl Record.
Original 1983 US press on Music Valley Records (RR 1215). Ultra rare. The original owner had the brilliant foresight to move the ‘Randy Travis’ sticker down to the bottom of the jacket before the glue fully set, allowing the best of both worlds: you can see the original Randy Ray labeling on the jacket PLUS the re-branded Randy Travis name sticker. Usually you’ll only be able to see Randy Travis plastered over the original name, or the Randy Ray name with the sticker removed and tossed. This of course has both. Some wear to the jacket and sticker, as visible in the images. No original inner sleeve present, so I’ve got it in an upgraded MoFi inner sleeve.
The vinyl itself plays like a nice VG+, with only some light crackle at times.
The listing price is heavily discounted from the current going rate of this album ($375CAD) due to cosmetic flaws which don't affect play. Some superficial rounded indent type press plant marks are visible on side B, plus the record plays with a visible edge flare / warp. This is all solely cosmetic and does not pitch the sound. I’ve provided a video demo below so you can see the extent of the edge flare / warp, and how playback is still solid:

Sounds great on my LP12, but any properly weighted tonearm can handle this with ease.
Hands down one of the rarest country albums of the 80’s, and a truly unique copy given the jacket sticker situation.
