Aubrey Cagle:  Born 17 September 1934, Lexington, Tennessee

Aubrey Cagle is not exactly a household name. He recorded only a handful of stunning singles, but these are generally held in high regard by fans of rockabilly music and have been heavily reissued on compilations. This ultra rare first single, released in 1957on the Memphis label House of Sound, an excellent double-sider. He soon left Memphis for Indianapolis, where he formed his own label, Glee Records. During the years 1959-1962, Cagle had four releases on Glee (one in each year), the best of which was "Be-Bop Blues" from 1959. The last two Glee singles came out under the pseudonym Billy Love.  He died in 2004.
