Description
Folks, this is simply the Rarest of all rare 78 records and to my knowledge--within recent memory, this is the only one put up for auction on ebay since I've been watching'. It's certainly the most sought after Labels that "Label Collectors" seek out. I'm putting this on in behalf of a friend and "Label Collector" and considerably large 78 Collector in my area. He's provided the expertise for the description of this record. It's a BLACK PATTI RECORD / #8040 featuring 'FRANKIE HALF-PINT JAXSON" doing "I'm Gonna Steal You" as well as " Can't Wait Till You Get Home". It was made by the Chicago Record Co. of Chicago, IIl. It unfortunately has a one inch X 3 inch piece broken off the record. The record also has a crack, but according to my friend, still plays okey. The Label is intact and shows signs of being worn but is still complete. My friend says this may be the only known copy of this particular record. In spite of this record's obvious drawbacks this may be the only chance many of you have, ever getting chance at owing one of these rare records as most all if not all of these Black Patti's are owned and hoarded by private collectors.
