RARE PROG ROCK LP CREAM "DISRAELI GEARS" 1st: M/NM

Description

This is a really nice copy of the classic progressive rock album DISRAELI GEARS by the first - and probably greatest "supergroup" CREAM - consisting of (as if you didn't know) ERIC CLAPTON, JACK BRUCE and GINGER BAKER. It is an original on the REACTION label, catalogue # 594003 (stereo) with "1967" scratched into the run-out groove. The cover is in Mint condition. I am being very critical when I grade the vinyl as Near Mint. But "as near mint as makes no difference" isn't a recognised grade! This album, even more than their debut, stands as a true classic of the psychedelic/progressive rock era and is a perfect synthesis of the well-crafted three-minute song with the "heavy" progressive rock/blues. Tracks like "Strange Brew", "Sunshine Of Your Love", "SWALBR" and "Tales Of Brave Ulysses" are recogonized masterpieces. There's even room for a less-than-serious number. And all on one LP! Ah, those were indeed the days! Copiues as nice as this don't turn up every day, so go for it!

SIDE ONE: STRANGE BREW, SUNSHINE OF YOUR LOVE, WORLD OF PAIN, DANCE THE NIGHT AWAY, BLUE CONDITION

SIDE TWO: TALES OF BRAVE ULYSSES, SWALBR, WE'RE GOING WRONG, OUTSIDE WOMAN BLUES, TAKE IT BACK, MOTHER'S LAMENT
