RARE PRINCE 'SYNDICATE' JAPANESE 7" PROMO -PIC SLEEVE

Description

This is a very rarely seen Prince Japanese 7" promo featuring the excellent track 'Another LonelyChristmas' on one side, and a series of messages on the other. The various Christmas and Greetings messages are from Apollonia, Sheila E, and the final one is Prince himself introducing Purple Rain.

This promotional 7 inch single was released in Japan in very small quantities on the back of the phenomenol success of Purple Rain in 1983. The picture sleeve has on the front a lovely design picture featuring a dove, and the back cover features a purple background and a description of the record's contents in Japanese.

The condition of both the record and sleeve is mint, the scan below of the back of the sleeve is misleading, as there appears to be creases in the back cover. There are no creases in this sleeve, it is just the appearance of the unusual 'silky' Japanese paper that the sleeve is made of.

I bought this from a renown dealer of Japanese records in the late 1980s, so I know that it is genuine. A jewel in the crown for anyone's Prince Japanese 7" collection.

This is one of my favourite Prince items in my very large collection that I am slowly selling. I have also just listed the very scarce German cd single promo of the unreleased track 'Poem' to promote the COME album, and the very rare UK 7" of Little Red Corvette which has the normal picture sleeve rather than the more common poster sleeve, which apparently only 150 were issued of (according to UPTOWN magazine, who are usually correct in these matters).
