This is a very rare original thick heavy vinyl U.S. Lp on the red and black COLUMBIA Label with 6 white eye logos. #CL-1779. Called: BOB DYLAN. Side 2 of the lp has the following numbers stamped in the trial off XLP-55620-1F. Side one has the numbers etched they are: XLP-55619-1E. Tunes are: TALKIN NEW YORK / IN MY TIME OF DYIN / MAN OF CONSTANT SORROW / FIXIN TO DIE / PRETTY PEGGY-O / HIGHWAY 51 / YOUR NO GOOD / GOSPEL PLOW / BABY LET ME FOLLOW YOU DOWN / HOUSE OF THE RISIN SUN / FREIGHT TRAIN BLUES / SONG TO WOODY / SEE THAT MY GRAVE IS KEPT CLEAN. Dylan started with this accoustic album mostly of new versions of folk standards, it didn't sell well initially, now these original 6 eye pressings are highly sought after. The cover has only mild wear, 2 extremely tiny pin holes top left corner and a small light mark on the front. NO seam or spine splits, bent or pushed in corners, cut outs, etc. The spine is in great condition with perfect print and NO flaking. Seams have color and are not badly worn. The lp has beautiful labels with NO spindle marks, wear, fading, stains, etc. If you look close at different angles you see only a few faint spindle trails. Playing surfaces have a deep glossy shine with NO groove wear, scratches, defects, etc. Under very bright light and close inspection I saw a handful of light surface scuffs that do not affect play. I played excerpts from both sides, they sounded great. Vocals and instruments sounded clean and clear with NO loud annoying or continuous background noise. I heard only a few occasional soft background ticks here and there. I have tried for years like other collectors, to find an original first pressing of this Bob Dylan lp, so it gives me pleasure to offer it to collectors with a low minimum bid, no reserve, and in this CONDITION: COVER VG+++ / LP VG+++.
