Up for bids is the EXTREMELY RARE Northern Soul single “Sweet Lover” b/w “My Dreams of You” by Fortson & Scott, c1968, on the Pzazz Label!
This single is one of only two recordings ever released by Fortson & Scott together, and is one of the few records produced by Pzazz (in business from 1968-69). The playing condition of the single being offered in this auction is NEAR MINT, the visual condition is glossy with the original finish still intact! BEING VERY PICKY, under bright light, only a few tiny micro-scuffs from storage are apparent in the run-out grooves – otherwise, WONDERFUL. Even the original brown paper sleeve is near perfect!
The UNRETOUCHED audio sample found in this auction was recorded from a Stanton T-90 USB Direct Drive turntable, using Audacity software, and may have been the only time this single has ever been played!

I was lucky enough to find a box of Northern Soul singles that included Pzazz and other small labels from the same time frame (Impact, Revue, Bell, etc). Since the other labels are also in Near Mint condition, I believe these were kept by a regional A&R man and stored away for more than 40 years as a special collection.
