RARE Superb Condition - Max Romeo & The Upsetters -War Ina Babylon 1976 Island First Press ILPS 9392 Reggae, Roots
From my collection - This superb copy of the rare UK first pressing of this classic album, Island ILPS 9392, A1, B1 matrix suffixes.
The front of the printed matt unlaminated sleeve would certainly conservatively grade as EX+ if not NM. It has two very tiny corner bumps either end of the spine which is clearly readable. NO storage wear. There is some minor ring-wear (which is only visible if the sleeve is held at a certain angle to the light). The spine is not pinched and the entry edge has very little wear. The rear of the sleeve is identical to the front in terms of grading. The black paper inner is NM.
The vinyl is without doubt NM. Gradient orange background Island label with blue rim and green palm tree. No EMI credit on the label. On play grading today there was some minimal static on the run in on both sides but nothing troubling, maybe a rare pop or click (certainly nothing to spoil the enjoyment of this album - even at high volume), during the remainder of the LP including between the tracks. It plays superbly with very strong audio. The surface is very clean, glossy and shiny, no noticeable marks, a superb copy that grades NEAR MINT!
