MASSIVE ATTACK
Mezzanine
(Virgin Records, 1998)
Track listing
1. Angel 2. Risingson 3. Teardrop 4. Inertia Creeps 5. Exchange 6. Dissolved Girl 7. Man Next Door 8. Black Milk 9. Mezzanine 10. Group Four 11. (Exchange)The album is in NEAR MINT condition. I bought this record in 1998, played it once to record it, and did so on a well-balanced Vestax PDX-d3 with an Ortofon cartridge. Since then it has been stored vertically in protective packaging in a non-humid environment. The sleeves are nearly perfect as well as is the condition of the vinyl. The only flaws are a few red highlight marks (see photo) that I made over a some of the track titles on the interior sleeves in case I ever had the nerve to bring the record out for a live mix. I never did, and I have never come across another used copy of this record in better overall condition.
The album will be shipped with excess protective packaging to ensure the integrity of its condition.
GRADING SCALE
(based on Goldmine record grading standards)
MINT (M)
The record is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The jacket and any extra items are in perfect condition.
NEAR MINT (NM)
The record appears virtually flawless. A very minor scuff and very little else can appear on the vinyl. It should play without any noise over the flaw. The flaw is very hard to see. The cover looks as close to perfect with only minor signs of wear and or age. Minor impressions to the cover (due to the outer edge of the vinyl resting inside) may be acceptable, however the artwork is be as close to perfect as can be.
EXCELLENT (EX)
The record shows signs of having been played but there is negligible loss in sound quality. The jacket may have slight wear or creasing.
VERY GOOD (VG)
The record has been played many times but shows no significant deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks. Normal wear and tear on the jacket, without any major defects, is acceptable.
GOOD (G)
The record has been played enough that the sound quality has deteriorated noticeably and may have light pops and skips. The jacket may suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits or discoloration.
