LED ZEPPELIN
LED ZEPPELIN 1 - Vinyl LP
Ultra rare TURQUOISE lettering on sleeve
Original rare Red & Plum label - 1969
Original stereo LP released on a red & plum ATLANTIC label.
This is a very rare first pressing of their first album with turquoise lettering on the sleeve. These were produced in limited numbers (I think only 5000 copies exist) before the orange lettering which then replaced them.
Catalogue number - 588 171
Matrix numbers 588171 A//1 & 588171 B//1 indicates their very first pressing
(As close to the master tape as you can get)
As described in the rare record price guide 2006 LP is in EXCELLENT condition.
The record when held under a light has NO visible marks at all & when i removed it from it's sleeve it still had that static feel as if new. I've played it to test the quality VERY LOUD & apart from some back ground crackle at the very beginning it play's AS NEW. Even during play on the quiet parts you can't hear any background noise at all.
The sleeve is in EXCELLENT condition. All corners still quite sharp. The back is still nice & square (just a couple of visible creases). The front & back is also in excellent condition, just a few creases to the top right corner only. The laminated glossy finish is still very clean on the back, apart some slight lifting on the back edge but only visible when held up to the light. The laminate on the front is still Very good condition.
No rips or tears or ring wear at all are visible to either front or back.
The inner sleeve is in EXCELLENT condition, no tears at all.
The Red & Plum label is in MINT condition, no wear to the centre spindle. (I can tell you by looking this LP has hardly been played).
To ensure quality, I've played this album very loud & there are no clicks, jumps maybe slight crackle between tracks (but this is expected for a 35 year old vinyl) & still sounds amazingly brilliant.
