Description

 JUSTI BARRETO Y SU MUSICA - Afro-Cuban Soul (El Alma Del Afro-Cubano).  SMC Pro-Arte Records #10006.

This is a very rare latin lp from the early-mid 60's on the SMC Pro-Arte (Spanish Music Center) label out of New York City.  Only four songs on this one, they are: Chango Y Loro (Santo), Le Guajira Del Pueblo, Olemozun (Calypso Y Guaguanco En Jazz), and Viva Cubra-Libre (Mambo-Jazz).  Really great record from start to finish!  This one seems to be pretty rare, with only one recorded online sale that I could find, and that was for $375 for a much lesser condition copy over four years ago.  The condition on this one is Side 1-VG++, Side 2-VG+ with some light marks that are unfeelable.  Full gloss on both sides, a nice copy of this one.  Plays with a slight bit of noise, but I think that is probably inherent in the pressing and is never overpowering at all.  Cover is a generic SMC Pro-Arte sleeve, with a middle cut-out (kinda like a 12" single cover), but the other sale had the same cover so I'm sure this is how this was issued.  Cover has light wear, VG+ to VG++.  US buyer pays $6 shipping plus insurance (required), and overseas shipping is $14 + registered mail, so probably around $25.  If you need better/more pictures please ask, having some computer problems with uploading pictures at the right size, sorry about that, or if you have any other questions don't hesitate to drop me a line.  Thanks!
