RARE Florida Punk 45-The Panics-Kill It!! Description Once again, I have run across a copy of the Panics first 45 (man, I wish I could find the second one -- it's even tougher to find than this one). Of course, the Panics were SW Florida's premier and first punk/power pop/new wave band. If you think groups like The Eat, The Reactions, and other Miami/Ft Lauderdale based punk bands were ignored during the late 70s and early 80s, Fort Myers groups like the Panics, Antler Joe and the Accidents, The Casual-Aires (unrecorded), and later, The Blue Devils (homemade demos only, one brief live appearance at the legendary Open Books and Records), and the Social Whores (also unrecorded) were not even acknowledged!! This 45 by the Panics, "Kill It (Before It Multiplies)" b/w "My Little Red Book", issued on Superdisc Records, is a good example of their live sound -- one foot in Dead Boys territory, one foot still in a 60s garage. Local 60s garage/psych band the Painted Faces were also a huge influence on the Panics, and they even performed "Anxious Color" live. The record is in NEAR MINT condition, and the sleeve is VG++ with a couple of small chews at the top opening. Good luck!
