THE FILM WORLD OF BERNARD HERRMANN 10" PRIVATE RECORDING PRESSING
This is the audio version of the 28 min TV special Camera Three narrated by David Raksin about the remarkable career of film composer Bernard Herrmann. Includes film clips and cues from Citizen Kane, Jane Eyre, Hangover Season, The Ghost and Mrs. Muir, The Day The Earth Stood Still, Psycho, Taxi Driver, and Vertigo.
Pressing is believed to have been made in or around 1976 when the documentary was aired on national TV, which means it is nearly 50 years old with significant historical value. Label is attributed to "Studio Recordings Incorporated" with "Private Recording" typed on the label. There are numerous spelling typos on the label.
Traditional record grading would put it as a VG/VG-. It was fully play tested and it did have a few skips and some surface noise, but nothing overbearing. Side 1 is approx. 14 mins with a locked groove at the end and Side 2 is approx. 12 mins.
