PLEASE READ BEFORE BIDDING: Please read the entire auction listing, including shipping costs, before writing to ask a question. OUR GOAL IS CUSTOMER SATISFACTION. In order to meet that goal, we will ALWAYS work with our customers on any concerns that may arise. In the unlikely instance that you feel the need to open a resolution dispute before working with us, you will immediately be blocked from any further chance to acquire the rare music we present each and every week. Payment is required within seven days. We mail all paid items ONE WEEK after auctions end. Please keep in mind our listings are time consuming in detail and we are often traveling to find these gems, which at times delays the delivery schedule by a day or two. We ALWAYS process and ship every paid order. We have no control over parcels once they are mailed from our local Post Office.Overseas mail to some countries (Italy, Russia, France, in particular) has became very slow. Opening a dispute for slow mail is unacceptable and will result in blocking the bidder. We work hard to provide excellent service as is represented by our 8000 plus positive feedback. We use a VPI machine and thoroughly clean all records. Each order is carefully packaged by removing the LP from the jacket to avoid seam splits, use of 3 ml plastic cover sleeves over each LP and jacket, cardboard pad inserts, and placed in sturdy record mailers for safe delivery. We take Customer Service seriously, and want you to be satisfied. Hard to find ... Very first 1972 pressing of a killer rated hardrock collectible... a solid album led by the hard psychedelic guitar theatrics of Walter Rossi, that will remind more than a few of Jimi Hendrix.... From what is understood, this 1972 original pressing is extremely hard to find and was issued some three years before the (1975) official re-press (on Mindust Records)

Before forming this great band, Canadian guitar wizzard 'Walter Rossi' had cut his teeth in the late 60s with some pretty big names like, 'Wilson Picket', and 'The Buddy Miles Express', where he contributed lead guitar to Buddy's original version of 'Them Changes' (the song). He even turned down offers from 'Three Dog Night' and 'Janis Joplin'.
Walter also had the pleasure of jamming with Jimi Hendrix and Buddy Miles during their 'Band of Gypsies' days.
Then back in Canada, Walter co-founded the progressive/psych rock band 'Influence' in 1968/69. After being signed by ABC records, they went on tour opening for 'The Doors', and 'Steppenwolf'.
In 1971 Walter Rossi formed 'Charlee' and After you hear this album, you'll see why he was so sought after! This is heavy guitar psych-rock at it's very best!
The first song on side two was 'Let's Keep Silent'(part 1), with it's Hendrix laden guitar feedback, wah wah, and tight rhythm section, is too much to be true! Then when the song fades out and the telephone starts to ring (on the album), you'd swear it was your own phone ringing! This lost, virtually unheard album from the early 7o's is absolutely amazing and essential to anyone interested in heavy guitar psych. It ranks up there with the best of the style. And more... From one song to the next it just gets better and better. That opening salvo we speak of above sets the mood of the album building to a searing climax. The guitar howls through it's effects and solos almost nonstop in a blues based showcase of diversity, restraint and tastefulness. The next song has Walter Rossi dropping one of the most viscerally powerful riffs in the history of rock. It has to be heard to be fathomed. Next up, a power ballad that absolutely screams and howls...and more. There's so much more. Unbelievable.
This might sound all kinda vague but this one and only album by Charlee is a stone dead classic and one of the best examples of 70's heavy guitar psych rock you will ever hear, so we highly recommend it!

CONDITION: The cover: the textured cover is VG++, some light visible prior use is visible (bit of shelf wear starting at bottom center and little corner wear, but nothing much, otherwise clean and solid with no writing and no split seams ...
The vinyl: looks clean with a couple very minor wispy inner sleeve scuffs that are not audible, rated "EX" (excellent), plays great with no audio problems ... RARE first print with clean RCA labels
