Description
Timeless Detroit Soul on the very cool Wheelsville label 10001. Freddie Butler lays down the R&B/ Soul of "Save Your Love For Me", so simple but so perfect, great vocal from Freddie. Nice flip "All Is Well" moves along nicely, has the flavor of an early Motown track, not too surprising since there is a good chance it features some of Berry Gordys' regulars moonlighting. Certain this is an original, I'm selling it for a friend of mine who picked it up in the 70s flea marketing. (Hand scratched master #s "187" and 188" in the runoff groove, as well as a stamp that I think reads "Sheldon"- maybe the pressing plant?- on both sides). Really nice copy, would grade the "Save" side NM, and due to a slight bit more wear on the flip, I would give that a VG+(+). Listen to the sound samples and remember-this record rarely comes up for auction, the last one I could find was 3 years ago!
