Click to view supersized image HERE IS LAVERNE BAKER - LAVERN R&B LP ON ATLANTIC 8002!! THIS A COOL AND RARE LP!!   The market is sadly full of counterfeit copies of the US Beatles Christmas Album. The original disc was pressed in limited numbers and distributed in 1970 to fan club members who bought their copy for the princely sum of $2!    BOTH SIDES OF THIS LP HAVE BELL SOUND STAMPED INTO THE DEAD WAX!!.

As for when they were pressed, this is something I couldn't say. But, since the first covers were blurry I'd say that the first batches came out around about the mid 70's with the more sophisticated fakes appearing later, possibly into the early 80's. Since counterfeit copies appear on the market quite often a large number must have been manufactured.
