This is an amazing auction that is sure to please all Beach Boys, Brian Wilson, and Van Dyke Parks fans: a multi-item lot that celebrates the classic 1973 album, "Holland"--inlcuding some rare Warner Bros. promo materials. It's the complete package! This auction includes:

  1. The original LP (Brother/Reprise MS 2118) with lyrics insert. EX/EX condition.
  2. The bonus 33 1/3 rpm 7-inch EP and picture sleeve, "Mt. Vernon and Fairway (A Fairy Tale)" (Special EP MS 2118). EX/EX condition.
  3. The extremely rare 45 rpm PROMO-ONLY single "Sail on Sailor" b/w "The Trader" (PRO 557). NM condition.
  4. The original 14-page booklet that documents the whole incredible adventure of making "Holland." Entitled "The Beach Boys: Holland, The Making of the Album," this booklet is a fascinating read. It includes the "making of" story (written by Shelley Benoit in 1972), some very nice graphics, and photos of all the members of the band: Brian Wilson, Carl Wilson, Dennis Wilson, Mike Love, Al Jardine, Ricky Fataar, and Blondie Chaplin. Printed in the U.S.A. This is a collector's item in its own right, and it is in absolute MINT condition.
    For those of you who are interested, the text of the booklet has been reprinted in "Back to the Beach: A Brian Wilson and The Beach Boys Reader" (ed. Kinsgley Abbott, Helter Skelter Publishing, 1997).
