Description
A very rare BBC Top of the Pops Transcription Disc. These were sent to radio stations across the world in the 1960s and 70s, and were mostly destroyed by the radio stations after broadcast. What makes them special is that the BBC would record the bands in their own studios, creating unique sessions, capturing the best of British bands at a point when the British pop scene was at its most influential and creative. The sessions were used on various pop shows in the UK, but were almost all destroyed. These TOTP discs are usually the only remaining copy of those BBC studio recordings.
The show here, 44, is a good example, and a very early one, released in September 1965.

The disc is in very good condition, but unfortunately there is no paperwork. This is a great addition to any collection of classic British Rock and pop, or to a collection of these great BBC discs.
