Description
This is an absolute stunner. It's Rare Amber's self-titled blues/psych LP from 1969 on the UK Polydor label (catalogue no. 583046). All the tracks have a very bluesy feel to them but some of the guitar phrasing is totally psych-drenched. The doom-laden sleeve is laminated on both sides. On the front it shows some creasing which is not unusual but is, otherwise, in great condition. The back is similarly creased but it also has a torn patch at the top right hand corner measuring about 40 mm x 40 mm. This partly obscures the Polydor logo and the printed catalogue no. I have therefore graded the sleeve as VG only because of this. The record plays really well on side one with minor surface noise. On side two there is more surface noise on the first three tracks but this does not detract from the overall quality of the record. The record has been graded as VG+. I can thoroughly recommend this record to serious psych fans. It's the only LP record ever made by this obscure British band. If it's of any interest I also have a superb copy of their only 7" single 'Malfunction of the Engine'.
