Description

AFRO ROCK FUNK - THE SHUNTERS - SINCE MORNING
PRIVATE PRESS NEW CROSS RECORDS (NC002) - RECORDED & MADE IN ENGLAND - RARE AS FOOK & FUNKY AS HELL -1982

The title tune "nwa nkpi" is a monster dancefloor track...but is not the only good track on this album. Very few info about this album but only ever been released once ! Bassey Udaw the composer and arranger of the songs was once a "train shunter" and it's from this source that the group's title was derived. The type of music The Shunters play is a mixture of Afro Rock and Afro Highlife Disco. The Shunters previous releases have always been made in Africa and this LP heralds the group's first release in the UK. This LP is an indication of the band's direction and feel and should give the listener an insight to their potential. Killer Dancefloor !!
