Labels condition: Spotless
Here's a lovely copy of the rare Phantom 45 from The Disciples Of Soul, but this copy is a nice-looking Stateside label from The Phillipines, of all places. There shouldn't be any need to describe the pumping top side, with it's great drum-roll and brass-blast intro, soulful blue-eyed lead, and nifty aah-aah backing. I've dated it to 1967, because the flip is a lovely cover of The Intruders' Gamble hit from that year, so it may be slightly later. It's at least £100 on Phantom, but you don't see that many near-mint Phillipino copies either. I suggest it might be one for UK label collector's to pick up, in the absence of a British equivalent. I'll give it a nice low start price.
This single is in exceptional condition. Both labels are spotless, and the edges are completely chip-free. It has been played on both sides to verify condition, and comes in a brand-new card cover.
