DESCRIPTION: You like psychedelic music? Wanna take a trip--and I mean T-R-I-P--back to the ‘60s when we were turning on and dropping out? Miss those days when everyone was cool and sitting around with glazed eyes, concentrating only on the psych sounds coming from the LP that was currently on the turntable? Well, this is the record for you! You won’t find a more psychedelic record than this single issue by Childe Harold. (He probably would have made more records, but is probably completely mind-shot, living in a hospital ever since the ‘60s!) Brink of Death is absolutely incredible. It’s got all the psych gimmicks rolled into the 3½ minutes of this marvelous side. Both sides are super psych rock, but I would have been happy to have had both sides filled with Brink of Death! I am an expert on acid rock, having spent my younger days in San Francisco during the late 1960s wearing flowers in my hair--well, not quite, but I was very much a part of the scene; and, believe me, if I'd had this record to listen to I would have thought I'd reached Nirvana! Bid on this incredible record now!

CONDITION: The record, on first viewing it, seems to be in mint condition. The labels are in great shape with just a tiny bit of rubbing. However, there is a network of barely visible, very light scuffs on both sides. The scuffs, in turn, cause very tiny, faintly discernable tiks to be heard. If you’re listening for them, however, you’ll hear them. If this were a record that was heavy metal, it’s unlikely you’d even hear them--as a matter of fact, just an ordinary song would be the same way. However, this song is performed with an air of solitude and quiet. Therefore, the extraneous sounds are heard. On a scale of 1-10, I would give the tiks about a 2. The record is so fantastic, though, you won’t even be aware of the tiks, anyway. It's so incredible and rare, I doubt that there are many copies of it available, so you psych collectors should be extremely excited to find a copy in any condition! Bid now!
