Description

ARTIST - The Fi-Dels

RECORD GRADING - Used. Although it maintains a high gloss it does have some minor surface scratches on both sides. Record may have surface marks, scuffs, some light surface scratches, some surface noise, but should sound very good.

RECORD SIZE - 7"

TITLE - TRY A LITTLE HARDER / YOU NEVER DO RIGHT (MY BABY) This is not the reissue but the original low run 45.

RECORD LABEL - Keymen Records -white label. This LA-based soul label released only ten singles before going out of business. Soul duo The Fuller Brothers make one memorable performance here, and The Fi-Dels offer the Northern Soul favorite, "Try a Little Harder."

NOTES - This Group started out as a trio in - January 1966 (Marvin Beard, Elbert Jones and Jimmy Locke). By the time they got their second contract in April, Elbert had left the group, but then they gained new members (Alvin Sykes, Walter Pride and James C. Brown) They formed as a group in the US Marine Corps and took their name from the Corps's Latin Motto "Semper Fidelis" (Always Faithful)
