RARE and highly sought Original 1975 UK first pressing by this highly rated progressive band, FRUUPP, on the top collected UK PROG label "DAWN" host to many greats of the era....here's one of them...

The best one can say about Fruupp is thast they were top level in the progressive music field, the least one can say about "Fruupp" is that the band was very prolific. No less than four albums (now very collectible) in two year's time. Quite a challenge ! This album, Modern Masquerades combines their beautiful symphonic music with soft complex arrangements like during "Gormenghast" and "Mystery Might" which opens really fine : sweet keys and so pleasant vocals, and all of a sudden, the band starts a slightly complex- jam. Weird.

The band went already this direction with their second opus "Seven Secrets" but this time, the flavours are highly accessible...

"Masquerading With Dawn" is quite naive and very much "Beatles-esque" in terms of vocal harmonies. It gets brilliant during its bombastic finale which features an orgy of keys which is simply grandiose. And the delicate keyboard part just before the finale is splendid as well.

The music from this album is very much early 70's UK grand progerssive rock -- as in the closing number for instance offering such beautiful and pure symphonic moments. The mix works very well and is, like other tracks within, highly enjoyable.

CONDITION: The Cover: fragile and delicate is well preserved = "EX" (excellent) with bright original colors, looks display worthy collectible, no split seams, no writing. Very nice...
