PLEASE READ BEFORE BIDDING: Please read the entire auction listing, including shipping costs, before writing to ask a question. OUR GOAL IS CUSTOMER SATISFACTION. In the unlikely instance that you feel the need to open a resolution dispute before working with us, you will immediately be blocked from any further chance to acquire the rare music we present each and every week. Payment is required within seven days. We mail all paid items ONE WEEK after auctions end. Please keep in mind our listings are time consuming in detail and we are often traveling to find these gems, which at times delays the delivery schedule by a day or two. We ALWAYS process and ship every paid order. We have no control over parcels once they are mailed from our local Post Office.Overseas mail to some countries (Italy, Russia, France, in particular) has became very slow. Opening a dispute for slow mail is unacceptable and will result in blocking the bidder. We work hard to provide excellent service as is represented by our 8000 plus positive feedback. We use a VPI machine and thoroughly clean all records. Each order is carefully packaged by removing the LP from the jacket to avoid seam splits, use of 3 ml plastic cover sleeves over each LP and jacket, cardboard pad inserts, and placed in sturdy record mailers for safe delivery. We take Customer Service seriously, and want you to be satisfied. Please give us 5 stars in each category through the feedback system, and we will be able to effectively continue to fulfill your passion for rare and collectible music! SCARCE and rightly sought after Original 1969 first pressing of this hipster guitar blues psych trio that move and groove with the understatement of CREAM & JIMI ....
Thunder and Roses was an early power trio from Philadelphia USA, recorded “King of the Black Sunrise” and released by United Artists Records in 1969. This garage rock album is a hard rockin’, ultra heavy, Hendrix-inspired, slab of bluesy psychedelia. Track one, the classic White Lace and Strange is an ass-kicking, free-flowing, mind-boggling heavy psych masterpiece; the musical equivalent to an amorphous, three-dimensional mirage of stunning iridescence viewed while stoned on Kush. No need to get wordy, though... anyway, it's a tough act to follow, but they do well by varying the level of intensity with I Loved A Woman, which is rather mellow heavy psych marked by aggressively strummed major (and seventh) chords where you'd least expect them, and some extremely psychedelic harmonies on the chorus. Track 3 is a fairly good rural rock song, followed by a truly excellent cover of Hendrix's blues rock classic Red House, a strong version with a blitzkrieg of superb heavy psychedelic guitar like Cream, they never let the blues influences swamp the rock ... and then we have a wacky little psychedelic hard rocker called Moon Child, which we would give 5 stars to. Dear Dream Maker is a more solemn, minor-key psych venture, preceding the peaceful, half rural/half psychedelic instrumental title track, and then there's the 7 minute-plus closer; a splendid amalgamation of blues rock, heavy psych, and hard rock; 5 stars as well. All in all, If you like the psychedelic/blues/hard rock thing in the vein of groups like Cream, the Experience, and Blue Cheer, then you'll probably find this worthwhile, 'cause that's what Thunder and Roses is all about. You just can't repeat the names of those genres enough when talking about this group and their only album. Thunder And Roses axeman Chris Bond, is one of the best guitarists you've ever heard; he's got the control, technique, and ability to produce rad sounds of a certified master, yet he's practically forever unknown ...

CONDITION: The Cover: solid all over; rated: VG+ bit of light shelf rub only, but NO delete cut corner (most copies have delete cuts, this copy has NO delete marks)...there is a large "Audition [promo] Copy" company stamp on back cover (see photo #2) a highly worthy collection copy ... the colors are bright on both sides and still very collectible ... no split seams, no bends, no writing ...
The Vinyl: all clean and clear M- looks and plays fantastic ... clean UA labels too....
