PLEASE READ BEFORE BIDDING: Please read the entire auction listing, including shipping costs, before writing to ask a question. OUR GOAL IS CUSTOMER SATISFACTION. In the unlikely instance that you feel the need to open a resolution dispute before working with us, you will immediately be blocked from any further chance to acquire the rare music we present each and every week. Payment is required within seven days. We mail all paid items ONE WEEK after auctions end. Please keep in mind our listings are time consuming in detail and we are often traveling to find these gems, which at times delays the delivery schedule by a day or two. We ALWAYS process and ship every paid order. We have no control over parcels once they are mailed from our local Post Office.Overseas mail to some countries (Italy, Russia, France, in particular) has become very slow. Opening a dispute for slow mail is unacceptable and will result in blocking the bidder. We work hard to provide excellent service as is represented by our 8000 plus positive feedback. We use a VPI machine and thoroughly clean all records. Each order is carefully packaged by removing the LP from the jacket to avoid seam splits, use of 3 ml plastic cover sleeves over each LP and jacket, cardboard pad inserts, and placed in sturdy record mailers for safe delivery. We take Customer Service seriously, and want you to be satisfied. Rarely seen ... Advanced Release PROMOTIONAL ....
Original 1968 first pressing of an obscure '68 era Byrds like rural rock with psych touches and popsike productions... here's what's known:
Stone Country the Hollywood, CA-based psychedelic country-rock outfit led by gifted singer/songwriter/guitarist Steve Young. Young had moved to Los Angeles in 1964 and began working with Van Dyke Parks and Stephen Stills while keeping his day job as a mailman. He formed Stone Country in 1967 and soon thereafter the band was signed to RCA Records. After releasing several singles, RCA issued the group's only album, Stone Country, in March 1968, produced by Rick Jarrard, who also produced Jefferson Airplane and Harry Nilsson's Pandemonium Shadow Show. The group disbanded when, in 1969, Young signed as a solo artist with A&M Records. This is their only album, a fantastic record that is a must have for any one with even the slightest interest in things of psychedelic or rural-rock nature. It has a similar ring to late 60's Byrds Lp's ("Sweetheart Of The Rodeo" and "Dr Byrds & Mr Hyde"). "Everywhere I Turn" is a really great Byrds 5-D psychedelic song with echoing fuzz guitars and the McGunn style raga guitar found in "Eight Miles High" . Too bad these guys never amounted to anything (well, except Steve Young) this album was a promising start and is a lost classic.

CONDITION: The cover: Stiff and strikingly M- looks VERY collection worthy with promotional stamp at TOP left corner back cover ... bright orig colors, no seam splits, no writing and no delete marks...
The vinyl: all glossy over both sides, near "EX" (excellent) play graded nicely clean without audio problem. There's only a couple of wispy visible hair scuffs anyway ...collection copy with no need to upgrade and has clean RCA Victor labels
