Please keep in mind our listings are time consuming in detail and we are often traveling to find these gems, which at times delays the delivery schedule by a day or two. We ALWAYS process and ship every paid order. We have no control over parcels once they are mailed from our local Post Office. Overseas mail to some countries (Italy, Russia, France, in particular) has became very slow. Opening a dispute for slow mail is unacceptable and will result in blocking the bidder. We work hard to provide excellent service as is represented by our 8000 plus positive feedback.   We use a VPI machine and thoroughly clean all records. Each order is carefully packaged by removing the LP from the jacket to avoid seam splits, use of 3 ml plastic cover sleeves over each LP and jacket, cardboard pad inserts, and placed in sturdy record mailers for safe delivery.   We take Customer Service seriously, and want you to be satisfied. Rare and sought after Original 1968 first pressing ...lost highway folk psych gem that lures the listener in... 

Very interesting record from this obscure EspDisk artist with similarities to early Pearls Before Swine, but of more of a loner kind of quality. Askew plays a stringed (guitar like) instrument called a tiple, and sings his poetry and songs over the top without sacrificing the all import catchiness factor. A must for the collector of psych folk...

Ed Askew was a member of "GANDALF" whose only Lp is something of a prized holy grail artifact ... but here Ed is sounding like Simon Finn and Bob Dylan mashed together in some mad scientists folk experiment, Ask The Unicorn pulls on the heart strings while displaying a strange creativity. Askew comes off as an elusive and broken man, as beautiful as he is scary." - DD

If Will Oldham swallowed some razor blades, wrote lyrics akin to lyric poetry, and took enough drugs to be suitably paranoid, he'd probably sound something like this.

Really catchy vocal melodies delivered by a high, shaky goaty voice, over a jangly tiple (think soprano guitar). So, we've got two elements at play here: jangly and treble -- with some really nice songwriting and lyrics. CONDITION: The Cover: Collectibly solid with a couple minor issues, such as two tiny sticker pulls at top right and left, light corner dings, sticker residue, light wear (on back cover) ... has no split seams, no writing and no fading

The Vinyl: very clean and shiny across both sides, "EX" (excellent) ...play graded nice and enjoyable with no alarming background audio distraction...clean ESP labels
