This rare 1967 release from Melodisc Records on the Blue Beat label features Prince Buster performing on this fabulous Lp entitled Rough Rider. Catalogue number BBLP 820.
Cecil Bustamente Campbell, born 24 May 1938, Kingston, Jamaica, better known by the stage name Prince Buster, is a Jamaican singer-songwriter and producer. He is regarded as one of the most important figures in the history of ska and rocksteady music. The records he released in the 1960s influenced and shaped the course of Jamaican contemporary music and created a legacy of work that later reggae and ska artists would draw upon.
The vinyl and cover are in very good condition and although the record has been obviously played and enjoyed many times there in no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks. The cover has wear consistent with its age with some light creasing and discoloration. The spine is in tact.
