RAINY DAY ST LP KENDRA SMITH OPAL BANGLES THREE O'CLOCK

   From 1983 comes this original pressing of the self-titled debut (and only) LP by Rainy Day - a loosely assembled assortment of renegades from L.A.'s paisley underground of the early '80's including Susanna Hoffs and Vicki Peterson from the Bangles, Kendra Smith of the Dream Syndicate (and, later on, Opal), Michael Quercio from the Three O'Clock, David Roback from Rain Parade (and eventually Opal and Mazzy Star), Dennis Duck and Karl Precoda from the Dream Syndicate, and others performing their favorite psych era numbers from the likes of Nico (Dylan's "I'll Keep It With Mine"), the Byrds, Buffalo Springfield, the Beach Boys, the Who, Big Star, the Velvet Underground, and the Jimi Hendrix Experience.  Nice record - perfect for, well, rainy days.
   The cover is very good plus with some ring and edge wear (including some tearing along the spine) in addition to some minor creasing and corner impacting.  The LP itself is very good plus as well.
   To protect your investment, this LP - as with all vinyl purchased at The Great Escape Online - will be placed in a new plastic outer sleeve prior to packing and shipping.
