Whitney Houston:

Commonly referred to as "The Voice," Whitney Houston was a generational talent whose soaring, technically flawless soprano and emotional delivery fundamentally reshaped the landscape of pop and R&B. Sheena Easton:

Born Sheena Shirley Orr in Bellshill, Scotland, in 1959, Sheena Easton rose from a Glasgow drama student to a global pop sensation, launching her career as the star of the pioneering 1980 BBC documentary series The Big Time. Her transition to the spotlight was explosive; her 1981 debut single "Morning Train (Nine to Five)" topped the US charts, and she quickly followed it with the Academy Award-nominated James Bond theme "For Your Eyes Only", earning the Grammy Award for Best New Artist in 1982. Easton carved out a unique legacy in music history as the first—and still only—artist to achieve top-five hits on five major Billboard singles charts: Pop, Country (via her duet "We've Got Tonight" with Kenny Rogers), R&B, Adult Contemporary, and Dance. Her fearless sonic evolution in the mid-to-late 1980s led to a highly successful, provocative partnership with Prince, who penned her controversial dance hit "Sugar Walls" and featured her on the classic duet "U Got the Look". Later transitioning to stage acting on Broadway in productions like Man of La Mancha and Grease, Easton remains a highly respected and remarkably versatile icon of 1980s pop culture.
