Description
RADIO BIRDMAN - "Under the Ashes" - 1988 Vinyl Boxed Set
Fully intact copy of the extremely rare Radio Birdman box set from 1988.
This is a copy of the Radio Birdman boxed set put out by WEA in 1988 that contains re-issues of everything Radio Birdman released along with a few extras, such as a patch, letter from Denniz Tek and poster
Released on Trafalgar Records\WEA, 1988, catalogue number: LOC999.
Condition:
Contents: EXCELLENT. All the vinyl records are completed unmarked and have hardly been played. All the record covers are in near mint condition - no scuffs, corner creasing or ring wear. The patch is there, and the letter and poster are in excellent condition.
Box: FAIR. The box has seen better days - two of the corners are split and the front cover has some significant wear and tearing. Check the detail on the photos below before bidding.
NB: I use the Record Collector Magazine grading scale - see below for details.

Shipping and postage
I pack all my records in extra strong, re-inforced DefendaPack record mailers. These are self-locking corrugated cardboard mailers - much stronger than the usual record mailers. I also take the vinyl out from the cover to prevent splitting and pad the whole package with bubble wrap to help ensure that records are not damaged in the post.
My packaging costs and weighs more than usual which does make my postage rates slightly more expensive. However, I can discount postage rates for multiple purchases:
1 Record 2 Records 3 Records UK: £2.99 £3.25 £3.85 Europe: £3.75 £4.90 £6.00 Rest of the world: £6.20 £8.50 £10.70Note that a double album counts as two single albums for postage purposes.
Record grading
I use the standard Record Collector Magazine scale for grading records:
MINT: The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Records advertised as Sealed or Unplayed should be Mint.
EXCELLENT: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and / or creasing.
VERY GOOD: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.
GOOD: The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discolouration, etc.
FAIR: The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump. The cover and contents will be torn, stained and / or defaced.
POOR: The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing.
BAD: The record is unplayable or might even be broken, and is only of use as a collection filler.
