Ring O' Records 2017-115 was released in 1978.
This record was pressed by Polydor Records in the UK. This record has the distinction of being the last Ring O' Records single to be released by Polydor Records. Ring O' Records would close later in 1978.
Vinyl is clean and in very good plus condition.
Label is in very good plus condition and clean. Comes with a Color Picture Sleeve, which was rare for any Ring O' Records release.
Rab Noakes is a Scottish singer-songwriter. He was a member of Stealers Wheel, but left the group before they released their first album. He has performed with Lindisfarne who recorded several of his songs. Noakes best-known recording, "Branch", was released in the summer of 1974 from his album Red Pump Special, and attracted considerable airplay in the UK, but failed to chart. Noakes released the albums Restless (1978), Rab Noakes (1980) and Under the Rain (1984). In 1994 he released Standing Up. Noakes became the senior producer for music programmes on BBC Radio Scotland.
Ring O' Records: In 1974, Ringo Starr decided to form his own record label, as George Harrison had done with Dark Horse Records. The name "Ring O' Records" was suggested by John Lennon. The label ended in December 1978. During it's brief existence, several notable artists released records on the Ring O' Records label including Bobby Keys and David Hentschel.
