First wave space rock revival from the early ’80s! Of course I remembered it! An instrumental quartet from the US (perhaps Cincinnati, as that’s where the recording sessions occurred), Ra Can Row improvised effects-heavy guitar rock to great results, built around guitars, booming bass lines and heavy, driving drumming. Top that off with some mellotron and Moog synthesizers and you’ve got a recipe for some heady rock bliss. They’re not so much experimental as straight-ahead, rhythmic space rock, but the album contains four killer tracks that will definitely expand your mind. RA CAN ROW was an instrumental band from the USA that predates the space rock boom of the early 90's. Formed by Don Schott (bass, guitar, electronics), Steven Sailer (drums, keys), Rick Biszante (guitar) and Paul Haneberg (mellotron, minimoog) the band recorded one eponymous album in 1982. I recorded this to tape and would drive around in the summer playing this. Great driving album. RARE ALBUM.  DISCOG HAS IT IN THE $ 100 TO $ 250 RANGE EBAY ONE USED COPY FOR $ 75 .
