Description
This underground group was formed in response to an advert in 'Melody Maker' and after auditioning had been held in All Saints Hall, Notting Hill Gate. The guiding lights were Raja Ram (on flute) and Sambhu Babaji.Their music was a fusion of jazz, rock and Eastern music which made great use of jazzy flute and rock guitars. At times they veered towards the pretentious but at their best they were able to achieve a high degree of spiritual union with their audience through the chanting of mantras. In Blissful Company was recorded a few weeks after their formation following their rapid success in getting the audience to their feet at consecutive Implosion underground events at the Roundhouse in 1969.

In Blissful Company is a 1969 LP with the catalogue number ILPS-9110Q
The matrix stamp looks like A//1 1 1 11 and B//2 193
The cover has little wear but obvious signs of its age.
The spine is 70% readable but this is to be expected due to the album being gatefold and more than 40 years old
The playing surface has some visible marks but no real evidence of this whist playing other than surface noise and a few clicks.
The LP is complete with its original "violet" inner sleeve and the attached 6 page booklet of photographs and psychedelic cut outs
The whole item can comfortably be classed as "Very Good"
Please read the official categorisation of the terminology
VERY GOOD:
The record has obviously been played many times,
but displays no major deterioration in sound quality,
despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch.
Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items,
without any major defects, is acceptable.
