Idlewild's first ever release. I believe there were only 500 made, but I could be wrong.
Why should you buy this copy? Because this one is a genuine piece of history.
I was living and studying with Roddy Woomble at the time Idlewild formed. I was at the party where Roddy met Rod, at their first ever gig, was at all of their first gigs in Edinburgh. I was even at the party which Roddy was late to which inspired the song "Last Night I Missed All The Fireworks". This is my personal copy of the single. I got it straight from the box from Roddy and, I'm fairly sure I was the first person to ever ask them to sign anything. Roddy refused because we were friends and he said I was being stupid. The others signed, though. Phil had already left the band by the time the single came out, so Bob signed in his place. As you can see, they all signed in fairly unsuitable pens but it's still legible and it carries with it the dings and bends of having been clutched at a gig that night.
