Description

PLEASE NOTE: I WILL ONLY GRADE AN OPENED LP NEAR MINT (NM) IF I CAN GUARANTEE IT HAS NEVER BEEN PLAYED (i.e. I AM THE ORIGINAL OWNER).  OTHERWISE, NEAR MINT MINUS (NM-) IS THE ABSOLUTE HIGHEST GRADE I WILL ASSIGN AN OPENED LP.

ULTRA RARE Elektra butterfly gatefold PRC (Recording Company - Richmond, IN) label suffix with embossed cover and BOTH PRC and SRC (Specialty Records Corporation - Olyphant, PA) stamps in the dead wax!!!  I have had well over 50 copies of this LP pass through my hands in my 40+ years of collecting but I have never seen this variant before.  I have scoured the Discogs entries for hours looking for something even vaguely similar and come up completely empty.  Rare as hen's teeth, this one.  Anyone with any information on this copy please contact me as I'm stumped.  LP side 1 is VG/VG+ with a few light scuffs and side 2 is VG++ with a few barely visible paper scuffs.  Cover is VG+ with a few small barely noticeable light stains at the very bottom.

I USE GOLDMINE GRADING:   MINT (SEALED) NEAR MINT: LOOKS UNPLAYED VG++:  VERY VERY MINIMAL SIGNS OF USE VG+:  AVERAGE SIGNS OF USE, NOTHING DEEP, SUPERFICIAL VG:  STILL AN OK RECORD, NOISE BETWEEN SONGS GOOD: WORN BUT PLAYS FINE WITH DISTRACTING NOISE POOR:  FILLER COPY ONLY.  LOTS OF SCRATCHES
