PLEASE NOTE: I WILL ONLY GRADE AN OPENED LP NEAR MINT (NM) IF I CAN GUARANTEE IT HAS NEVER BEEN PLAYED (i.e. I AM THE ORIGINAL OWNER). OTHERWISE, NEAR MINT MINUS (NM-) IS THE ABSOLUTE HIGHEST GRADE I WILL ASSIGN AN OPENED LP.
ULTRA rare early 197? Elektra butterfly PRC (Recording Company - Richmond, IN) label suffix and dead wax stamp. What's strange about this one is the additional Specialty Records Corporation logo stamped in the dead wax along with it. It's usually one or the other but I've never seen a pressing with both stamped in the dead wax in all my 40+ years of collecting. Year is unclear as there is not even a Discogs entry for this one. Rare as hens teeth. Includes original black and white printed inner sleeve with complete lyrics. LP side White is VG and side Black is VG+. Cover is VG/VG+ with just a bit of ring. Auction also includes a rare white label MONO promotional copy of one of their earliest singles, The Seven Seas Of Rhye. The flip side is a stereo version, which is the version that appears on the LP. If you've never heard this track in glorious mono before (and few have) it's quite an experience. 45 is just barely VG- visually but plays nicely. Comes in original Elektra/Asylum label sleeve!
