For sale is an original copy of the Hammer to Fall 12" single by Queen, in the swiftly withdrawn 'live' picture sleeve.
Catalogue number EMI - 12 QUEEN 4
Both the record and the sleeve are in excellent condition, both graded at NM (near mint). The only reason the disc is not classified as mint is that I played it once. I was honestly disappointed that you didn't get more than a slightly extended mix of Hammer to Fall so I never played it again (probably a good job that I didn't!).
The sleeve is the best that I have seen of the ones that have come up for sale. It has been stored in a record box since the day of purchase. The pictures give the impression of a fold in the top right corner but this is just a trick of the light (how I wish I were a professional photographer). There is, however, a slight crease in the top and bottom right corners and a small bit of delamination where those naughty people at Woolworths put their price sticker. Like I said, this is the best sleeve condition of any that I have seen for sale and I will stand by that statement.
This record has been owned by me since I bought it in Woolworths (remember them?) in Bangor (Wales) in 1984. It has not been through the hands of multiple collectors/sellers.
The record will be separated from the sleeve and placed in a generic sleeve for posting. The sleeve will be placed in a protective cover. All will be inside a professional record mailer and padded out with cardboard stiffeners.
Will post worldwide. Proof of postage is always obtained and kept by me and can be provided in any claim against a delivery service.
